REMOVING COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMS HAS BEEN A DISASTER!

LESSON: Stop messing with merit! As always, initiatives designed to even playing fields and help less-fortunate groups rise achieve the opposite results the government told you would happen.

Back in 2020, the California Public University System (UC) led the charge to get rid of SAT and ACT test requirements – imagine that. The justifications, as with everything else, were they discriminated against minority groups. But these tests also exposed the teacher unions’ woeful education results.

What’s the result? The government knuckleheads have once again greatly harmed the people they claim to help, as well as the very institutions meant to educate and help us all rise out of current stations in life.

Now 750 UC professors have released a letter and analysis crying, “We now observe preparations gaps so severe that instructors must reteach middle-school mathematics.”

Without test scores, universities now rely on inflated GPA’s (see all the classes to earn more than a 4.0) plus AI generated essays, and extracurricular activities.

They determined that eliminating the test scores greatly discriminated against minority groups! Plus, the kids attending the colleges are ill-prepared for success.

The professors noted that 1 in 8 freshmen’s math skills were below high school level. 1 in 12 freshmen’s math skills were below middle school level! All a 30x rise since 2020. More alarmingly, 94% of these students passed an advance high school math course with an A- average.

Can we all really be this incompetent, or is it nefarious? Keep the people down or next thing you know is they are taking your job? Clearly, we constantly attempt to control the population by keeping them as uneducated as possible. It is the only possible conclusion.

Bring back merit. Bring back rugged individualism. Get the government out of your pocket, your house, and your kids’ education. Help people help themselves.
