SMOOCH A VETERAN THIS WEEKEND!

LESSON: This weekend remember that only 6% of Adult United States Citizens are veterans – the ones who have put their lives on the line so that the rest of us have remained free for 250 years.
This statistic is shocking to some as it seems it must be more, but it always comes as a surprise that such a small percentage of our men and women actually put themselves on the front lines to keep us free.
Please reset your viewpoints and agendas this Memorial Day Weekend to look for the good, get choked up about being a patriot, and rethink your own mission on what do you contribute to your community and your country.
Instead of watching more golden retriever clips and idiots fighting in restaurants, watch the U.S. Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, the Night Stalkers, Apache Helicopters flyover at the 110th Running of the Indy 500. Then watch Caitlyn Clark as Grand Marshall for the event – a rockstar American hero providing young women with role models and opportunities above any other country in the world.
Better yet today watch 98 years old, yes 98, World War II veteran David Yoho's blunt and emotional message yesterday in the rain in Washington, D.C. for younger generations to remember the sacrifices of those who served. With incredible energy he belted out, "Tell them about veterans and say to them that we gave up our yesterdays for your tomorrows." It was incredible. As the woman at the table next to Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal said in When Harry Met Sally, “I’ll have what (he’s) having!”
People constantly ask me why I am so patriotic after I battled the U.S. Federal Government in what I believed to be for truth and honor for our company, employees, and families, and losing everything to spend thirteen years incarcerated and destroyed.
My answer is always the same.
The United States of America is the greatest country in the history of the world. But bad people and bad bureaucracies are inevitable in our world, and the success of our country allows these people and organizations to gain unchecked power if not held accountable by our incredible citizens. Remember, on the last day of the 1787 Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia Elizabeth Willing Powel, a prominent Philadelphia socialite and close friend of George Washington, asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” Franklin’s answer was, “A republic, if you can keep it.” Do your part to stand up and keep it!
Tomorrow, please thank a Veteran, better yet smooch one! And, also, support all the other Great Americans who may not be veterans but who spend their days spreading goodness about our history, our values, our freedom, and the hopes for an even better future.
Have an amazing Memorial Day weekend with your family and friends!
